Adriatic Gate Container Terminal is proud to support the local medical community in the ongoing fight with the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to assist, we have acquired 3 sets of laryngoscope instruments and 4 reanimation silicon balloons.
The laryngoscope KaWe sets are equipped with high power LED lighting on top of which the HEINE set has integrated fiber optics as well as autoclavable LED technology, enabling the device complete sterilization. All three sets are equipped with corresponding McIntosh blades. The AMBU silicon balloons are equipped with accompanying masks for children and adults.
During the handover, our HRD Manager, Ivana Forenbaher, pointed out: “Whilst most of us are being told to maintain social distancing and stay home, front line health care workers are taking care of all those affected by Covid-19. We greatly value the dedication, skills and abilities of these heroes in these troubled times.”
The donated instruments were distributed to the Covid-19 specialized clinic and Children Pediatric clinic. Josip Brusić, chief technician of the Clinic for Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Treatment at the University Hospital Center Rijeka, demonstrated the assembled equipment to the gathered journalists, while Ivana Koraca Chinchella, Head of the Clinic for Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Treatment at the University Hospital Center Rijeka added that the same will already be in use today in the intensive care units and the respiratory center of the Covid-19 specialized clinic.
We thank all the front-line health workers, from doctors to nurses to admin staff keeping us all safe.
