Today at AGCT we berthed Tilly Russ – first vessel in the new regular weekly service offered by CMA CGM which is not only connecting Rijeka with Malta (their major hub port in the Mediterranean) and indirectly connects us to all other main trade routes, but is also connecting us directly with the north of Africa, port Skikda in Algeria.

We visited the vessel and extended our welcome to the Captain and the crew. Our CEO, Wojciech Szymulewicz used this opportunity to award the Maiden Call plaque which is traditionally handed to the Captain for the first vessel call in the new service. Also present during the visit were Ognjen Ružić, AGCT Operations Manager and Jakov Karmelić, CMA CGM Croatia General Manager.

Tilly Russ is one of the three vessels deployed in the ADRINAF service. With 161 m in length and 25 m width it’s capacity is 1338 TEU.

At the time of Tilly Russ arrival we were just finishing working on CMA CGM Musset, which arrived to Rijeka yesterday in the Ocean Alliance service. The Ocean Alliance (CMA CGM, COSCO, EVERGREEN, OOCL & APL) offers a regular weekly service connecting Rijeka directly to the Far East ports. So it happened that we’ve had two CMA CGM vessels berthed at AGCT at the same time!
