Dear drivers,

Due to the traffic increase and more frequent and longer periods of truck congestion at the container terminal entrance, and in order to maximize utilization of access road capacity, we are bound to restrict terminal access to the trucks which don’t have valid orders and free container manipulation.

In coordination with customs of Croatia, as of June 12, 2017, an amended procedure for truck entering the container terminal has been introduced with the purpose of increasing the permeability of the entrance and shortening the time needed for providing the service.

In order to completely avoid the need for trucks stopping on the access road and for the drivers to get out from the cab in the process of entering the terminal, we have identified three situations that are causing trucks to stop and block traffic on the access road at the terminal:

1. PRINTED ORDER DELIVERY FREIGHT FORWARDER -> DRIVER

The driver will no longer have to have a paper order at the time of terminal entrance because all the mandatory details required by the order will already be listed on the TID document (giving the driver info about the container position). The only difference in the new procedure is that the driver will first check in with the AGCT representative at the entrance, who will issue him a TID document. He will then proceed with it to he customs officer at the entrance (but only if the container is being delivered within the customs transit procedure). It is important to emphasize that the driver will still have to hand over all other accompanying documentation (T1 document etc.) to the customs officer.

For export goods with domestic goods status, or which have already been custom cleared in any other EU Country, there is no need for order delivery to the Customs .

*Dear drivers, please keep with the obligation of wearing safety equipment - reflective jackets while staying in terminal area.

2. CMR CONFIRMATION TO THE DRIVER BY HE FREIGHT FORWARDER

In view of positive practice permitting verification of cargo delivery with the CONFIRMATION OF STORAGE issued by the terminal, instead of the stamp on the CMR, there is no need for contacting the forwarder in order to put a stamp on the CMR.

3. SEAL DELIVERY FROM THE FREIGHT FORWARDER TO THE DRIVER

For the seal delivery, in case that the driver doesn’t already have one, but needs to receive it from the local forwarder in Rijeka, this should be done exclusively by leaving the seal in the cabinets at the entry point.

In addition to the aforementioned solutions, kindly note that existance of orders will be checked during terminal entrance ticket purchase, and their validity will be additionaly checked before entering the access road.Trucks without an electronic paper order will not be allowed to enter the access road to a container terminal.

Therefore you are kindly asked to check the administrative status of the container you are delivering or coming to pick up at AGCT before purchasing the ticket and accessing the terminal at the following link: http://www.ictsi.hr/index.php/hr/pracenje-kontejnera, and thus avoid being stopped at the container terminal and the extra driving.
