XIN QIN HUANG DAO is the first container vessel that was, as part of the new service Phoex/AMX8/AMC4, berthed yesterday night (17/02) at AGCT. It is the Maiden voyage in the regular weekly service within the OCEAN THREE alliance, consisting of CMA CGM, CSCL (China Shipping Container Line) and UASC (United Arab Shipping Company), directly connecting Rijeka with the Far East.
10 container vessels, 280 m long and with the capacity of 5 700 TEU will be serving this route, connecting the strategic ports on the route from Shanghai to Rijeka, in the following rotation:
Shanghai → Busan → Ningbo → Chiwan → Port Kelang → Malta → Kopar → → Trieste → Rijeka → Venice → Kopar → Malta → Port Kelang → Chiwan → Shanghai

CMA CGM is a French Shipping Company that is continuously since 2004, holding a regular weekly direct container service from Asia to Rijeka. Our new O3 service calls also the hub port in Malta, hence the users of our service can receive their goods directly not only from Asia, but also from other markets. In the same way, every Wednesday exporters have a vessel that they can load their goods directly to Asia but also all other markets. With this new service we have achieved rationalization of the business and secured an even better services for our customers.

As an employee of Intereuropa Logistic Services Ltd. and a representative of CSCL in Rijeka, I am extremely pleased that we have gathered today in order to mark the beginning of this new service within the shipping alliance between CMA - CGM, UASC and CSCL, that will call Rijeka on a weekly basis in direct service thus linking the Northern Adriatic with the Far East in the fastest way. For Intereuropa this is a very significant moment for development ofthe maritime agency in Croatia. Also for CSCL, which wasn’t present in Rijeka for the last 3-4 years, this service is a new beginning in the wider region.
