Dear Valued Clients,
We regret to inform you of an incident that occurrered on December 11, 2023 on the railway line M202 Zagreb GK - Rijeka line (connecting the Port of Rijeka). A train carrying Ukrainian corn collided with a standing maitenance car of HZ Infratsructure. As a result, all freight and passanger transport on route M202 (Zagreb GK-Ogulin-Moravice-Rijeka) is temporary suspended.
Given the crucial importance of this railway line as 50% of all volume to Port of Rijeka is connected by rail, clean up crews are working fast to remove the wreckage. We expect the line to be cleared in 6 days so fully capacity line should be open December 19th .
In the meantime an alternative route will be available M203 route towards Šapjane - Pivka - Ljubljana on the west side. This route branches from Ljubljana to Zagreb, Budapest, and other Central European destinations. It is available for all freight trains, including those with containers destined for AGCT. We recommend considering this alternative route to mitigate delays and ensure the continuity of your supply chain.
We will inform you when main line M202 is back at full capacity and appreciate your continued support during this breif delay.
